Please make sure to call in to let us know your party dates this holiday season. We need at least 7 days advance notice in order to reserve party cleanups. Thanks for your help. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving and holiday season! - Justin
correction for leaf clean up schedule...
I am sure all of you missed me and were very aware of the fact that I snuck away last week for vacation. (Yes, that is sarcasm!) Anyway, glad to be back and ready for Autumn. Wow, this season has gone by so quickly.
A few entries back, it was mentioned that leaf clean up customers please let us know if you have special events or times that you would like your first clean up done by. That is true and is quite important. The fall weather often makes it difficult to schedule leaf pick up. So please let us know early so we can accomidate your special needs. It was a mistake that clean ups were listed to start Oct 27th though. Right now it looks like the weather is going to dictate that we mow through the week of Oct 27th and wait until the first week of November to get started on the leaves. That grass is still growing and that can really slow down the leaf pick up process...
If you are not currently a leaf clean up customer or are not sure of the services you are signed up for, please contact our office to get on the schedule. Standard leaf pick up schedule is to perform a turf only leaf pick up in November, and a turf and bed "final" fall clean up in December. This typically works out great as long as those months are dry and not too windy. As many of you know December is often tough to get nice days in which to work so often times clean ups are not finished until January. We will do our best! Those customers who would like additional or more frequent leaf pick up, please call and we will set up a different schedule.
Have a great week! -Ed
Winterizer applications 10/20/08
We've started our last turf application for the season. This final winterizer is an important part of your lawn's health care plan because it supplies such a large amount of nutrients to the plant at a critical time in it's life cycle. By now, your lawn has used up the majority of its reserves getting through another growing season, and is hungry. It's time to feed your lawn with a heavy feeding of fertilizer before it goes dormant in a few weeks. Nutrient uptake now helps in the transition to dormancy, while also providing for the "green-up" come spring.
