My new addition to my landscape bed is this chocolate-colored sunflower! I am starting by seed and hope to have some as beautiful as this one. The variety boasts multiple blooms and stalks 4-5 inch tall, which sounds pefect for my backyard garden! Now let's see if they are as easy to grow as the common sunflower varieties.......

Commonly seen in your perennial flower beds, Coral Bells (var. Huecheras) are a great addition to annual pots. The colorful leaves are a great way to bring in a constant color. Plus the bonus of them mounding up and flowing over the side of the container. You can also transplant them into the ground late summer and use them as a perennial too!
